DTI: Fiber Tracking

Because brain structure (anisotropy) is largely determined by white matter tracts, diffusion tensor images may be used as source data for calculating white matter pathways.

The application of fiber tracking depends on the needs of the referring physician and surgeon.  Our most frequent applications are in identifying descending motor pathways (originating in eloquent cortex defined by fMRI), optic radiations, rubrothalamic tracts and the internal capsule.  Rendered images are provided in a variety of formats, including STEALTH compatible.
